The jury is still out on the quickest way to get them down for the count. But our friends at Genes provided some bedtime faves that are sure to help ease the way.

Anna Dewdney’s Llama Llama Mad at Mama is the tale of a naughty llama who accompanies his mother on a ho-hum shopping excursion — a scenario your kiddo can surely relate to.

Dealing with first sleepover anxiety? Sure to assuage his fears of overnighters and help him decide whether teddy stays or goes is Bernard Waber’s Ira Sleeps Over.

Little snoozers with short attention spans will appreciate the brightly colored illustrations and quick-to-read text of Vera B. Williams’s More More More Said the Baby.
