Palazzo pants (no, really, they’re sooo flattering) and a busted ten-speed (honestly, who needs brakes?) top the list of things you’ve tried to unload on people in the past.
Give it up and give someone something she really needs.
Starting June 20, the new nonprofit BabyLove DC will be collecting gently used items (maternity and newborn to age 6) for its inaugural gear and clothing drive. The goods will be distributed to local families in need.
On the horizon for this crew are diaper and crib drives, plus showers for moms-to-be. But for now, they’re looking for the bassinet, bottle warmer, and box of blankets that’s been collecting dust in your crawl space.
They’ll take almost anything kid related off your hands.
Now that’s love, baby.
Drop off donations Saturday, June 20, 9 a.m.-4 p.m., at the new Glover Park and Burleith Farmers Market, Wisconsin Avenue, at 34th Street NW. For more information, go to babylovedc.org.
