The Children's Art Studio

Amidst mounds of broken crayons and worn-out markers, your tiny artist-in-residence yearns for more.

Head to The Children’s Art Studio, a new nonprofit space where cuddly Calders can build cardboard sculptures and mini Miros can try their hand at surreal paintings.

Weekly class offerings include weaving, puppet making, pencil drawing, and print making. There’s mommy and me for smaller pupils and more advanced topics like color theory for big kids.

Sign up for regular spring sessions, spring break camp, or weeklong summer camps for all ages.

DRAW
Art Parties
What: Artist Maryanne Pollock teaches drawing, painting, print making, or any other medium, with a little art history thrown in.
Why: Themes like Monet’s tea party with watercolors, self-portraits à la Leonardo da Vinci, and an Egyptian galabeya party with hieroglyphics and belly dancing.
When: Pinatas and punch get boring.
