Pizza East Goes West

How Soho House Rakes in the Dough

pizza east london!

West Side Story (the British Version)

West London gang ventures to Pizza East in Shoreditch, but the long drive/extortionate cab fare/edgy East End gang makes them feel uneasy. They want their own pizzeria, and they’ll do whatever it takes.

(Treacherous rumble ensues.)

Not really — we’re British after all. Nick Jones (Soho House, Babington House, Dean Street Townhouse) offers a more gentlemanly solution with Pizza East Portobello. Opening quietly today in an old pub, the rustic space stays true to its West London roots. Spot reclaimed chairs, exposed brick and a charming blue and white colour scheme through full-length windows; upstairs, find a bar, cosy fireplaces and leafy outdoor terrace.

Look for Pizza East menu favourites as well as new breakfast offerings (green eggs and ham, duck eggs, smoked herring). With the exception of one table of eight, the restaurant doesn’t take reservations — but there’s no need to fight.

Everyone will get a pizza the action.
