Little BU, the ex-New Yorker’s new water-based nail polishes are nontoxic, odourless and chemical free. Ideal for children, pregnant women, stylish tree huggers and those with brittle nails, the polish washes off with soap and water (add a top coat for a longer-lasting effect). Haimes drew from her background at Chanel to put together a range of on-trend colours that she will update four times a year. The debut collection includes deep purple, crystallized sheer pink, creamy red and shimmery silver.

So move away from the Birkenstocks.
