For Cousin Scooter “The Shooter” McNuttles: a Right to Bear Arms commemorative coin.
For Secret Santas in perpetuity: lot of twenty NWT Old Navy nail polishes (Buy It Now for $4.99!).

But what to get for the bleeding-heart, overly tense Dumb & Dumber fan (a.k.a. your brother)?

Easy: a private steam and breeze-shooting session at a swanky spa with the Farrelly Brothers. The Auction for the American Way, an event taking place on eBay this week and benefiting People for the American Way, makes it possible.

Bro’s more of an industrial rock dude? Bid on a guitar specially smashed up by Trent Reznor himself. There’s also a tour of Wisteria Lane for those Desperate types and an original signed photo of the Man in Black, Johnny Cash.

Now, PFAW is a liberal group, so your money’s going to things like civil rights,  gay rights, abortion rights, and the like. If you don’t truck with such things, you might not want to bid. And consider the recipient — as in, don’t get the phone call with Janeane Garofalo for gun-toting Scooter.

That wouldn’t make for a very nice holiday for either of them.
