Thanks to its use for such mundane items as dog food, the word ‘pedigree’ has lost some of its clout.

But perhaps a classy new bric-a-brac shop by that name will help restore some of its dignity. Having recently relocated to a new spot down the road, jewellery designer Solange Azagury-Partridge plans to make the most of the six months remaining on the lease on her old site.

Sick of paying for storage for homeless possessions over the years, she’s using the space to flog her stylish belongings (chandeliers, sofas, chairs, vintage clothing, books) to the public. As with all market stalls, the opening date and times of this one are a little sketchy, so just keep an eye out.

It’ll be worth it: so popular was Azagury-Partridge’s idea with friends, she’s also flogging junk on behalf of her model and fashion designer pals. Names remain private, but it has been mentioned that a certain ex-Gucci designer has sent a few things round.

How very distinguished.
