What do you get if you cross a kangaroo and a sheep? A woolly jumper.
And what do you get if you cross a hot new British designer with traditional Scottish yarns? Row Pinto, a colourful collection of hats, scarves and cushions.
Having already sold her designs to the likes of Marc Jacobs, Nicole Farhi and Donna Karan, Rowena Pinto is a name to watch. Her Scottish cashmere and lambswool knitwear are snuggly and sophisticated, with a classic, preppy edge.
Scarves have witty Brit names like ‘Allotment’, ‘Shed’ and ‘Beach’, whilst her scatter cushions come striped, ribbed or appliquéd with vintage lace in soft, candy hues and finished with hand-cut wooden or mother-of-pearl buttons. There’s also a small collection of scarves for men. It’s all so cosy, it’ll make you leap for joy.
And then you’ll be a bit of a woolly jumper yourself.
