Some people opt for the macrobiotic diet, others prefer the GI or the Jesus. Some are still persevering with the Atkins (bless them).
Bothered?
Flaunt your indifference with a trip to Melt, a new shop that sells homemade chocolate things like truffles, organic (so you’re still vaguely on the right path) chocolate-coated nuts, white chocolate and tonka-bean lollipops, chocolate-dipped meringues and chewy macaroons.
Everything is made on site in an open kitchen that can be viewed (and smelt) from the hot-chocolate bar, which serves molten chocolate.
In terms of getting high, this stuff beats any money-grabbing weight-loss regime hands down.
And it won’t give you halitosis and a hairy chin.
Melt, 59 Ledbury Road, W11 (020 7727 5030 or meltchocolates.com).
