Ditherers. Trainee cashiers. Pick-pockets. Sweaty pits.
Just what you get on the high street.
There’s no need to venture out onto those hectic pavements when Holly Tucker and Sophie Cornish (the daughter of novelist Penny Vincenzi, don’t you know), two ex-magazine/advertising girls, have set up Not on the High Street.
Launching today, the site is a new creative ‘umbrella’ for small businesses that are invited onboard only if their products are up to serious scratch. There are things for pets, children (Twisted Twee) and grown-ups (Angel Jackson) and accessories for the home and garden (Clarissa Hulse, Bodie and Fou). Browse now, and you can purchase what you want from Wednesday.
It’s an ideal one-stop shop for last-minute presents. Get them sent directly to the recipient and you won’t have to scour the earth for an equally great card and wrapping paper so clever it will have people gasping to know where you found it.
Just what you get on the high street.
Not.
