You’re meeting friends for dinner. There’s a gazillion restaurants in the city, but you can’t think of a single place to eat. It’s enough to drive you nuts.
Here’s a suggestion: La Noisette, a new upscale restaurant run by acclaimed chef Bjorn van der Horst, in partnership with the ever-growing Gordon Ramsay group.
The Knightsbridge spot, which opens today, serves French food with a twist. The seasonal menu includes seared foie gras with coffee and amaretto; slow-cooked Atlantic cod with Jabugo ham and squid; or wild trout with asparagus marmalade and morels. For pudding, meanwhile, there’s peach melba with green almonds and raspberry cotton candy, or fromage frais souffle with apricots and toasted almond ice cream.
There’s also a tasting menu from which, for an (almost) affordable £65, the chef and his team will create a customized culinary experience according to your individual tastes.
The restaurant’s decor, meanwhile, is refreshingly simple, with a cream and hazelnut wood interior that would pacify even the rudest of French waiters.
Still wondering where to eat tonight?
Use your nut.
