All Change
All Records 99p Club Night

The sales are nearly over and your wardrobe is flourishing.
Your bank account, however, is not.
Don’t hibernate just yet. Head to All Records 99p, a club night for the poorer poser. The somewhat sporadic event, which next takes place on Wednesday, is run by DJ and GQ deputy art director Andrew Diprose in honour of the humble charity shop record.
Budding DJs play 30-minute sets; no one’s allowed to spend more than a tenner on their entire playlist. It’s vinyl only, technobabies: no CDs, no iPods. You’ll hear everything from Culture Club to Kate Bush to Starship and, if you really like it, you can bid for it. All proceeds, along with your £1 entry fee, go to charities like Magic Breakfast.
As far as your wardrobe is concerned, we suggest you wear the items you bought in the sales.
Because it’s only a matter of time before they, too, end up in the charity shop.
All Records 99p, Wednesday 2 August, at DreamBagsJaguarShoes, 34-36 Kingsland Road, E2 8DA (020 7729 5830 or dreambagsjaguarshoes.com).
