Buffy was beside herself. She called Muffy to share the news.

“Guess what?” she squealed.

“Let me guess,” replied Muffy. “You’ve been invited to shoot at Sandringham? You’ve found something to die for at Topshop?”

“I’m standing outside The Sloane Square Hotel,” panted Muffy. “It’s a fab new spot with the raaaally cool Chelsea Brasserie for brekky, lunch and sups. It opened today. We need never contend with those beastly waiters in Oriel again!”

Muffy and Buffy had graced SS with various chums (Tufty, Fluffy, Topsy and Wuppy) since birth. The arrival of a new venue on their sacred turf was too exciting for words.

“Eeewmygod, that is just, like, so major, Buff,” said Muffy. “Let’s meet there for lunch.”

“Yah, let’s. See you in five.”

Buffy left her desk at the GTC; Muffy left hers at Tiffany. The girls trotted across the road and met outside the hotel two minutes later.

And they ate happily ever after.
