You like to cruise.
You like to schmooze.
What’s that?
You still don’t ooze?
You will when you see Ooze, London’s first risotto bar, on Goodge Street. Serving lunch and dinner, the ricey combinations on offer include pumpkin, hazelnut and sage; chicken, tarragon and leek; and pancetta, tomato and egg. Ingredients will change often, according to the seasons.
Those who don’t fancy risotto can have lighter dishes like artichoke and charcoal ham or mixed bruschetta, as well as fresh salads and grills, followed by baked Alaska and melting chocolate fondant for pudding. Copious amounts of Italian wine and strong espresso are the accompanying beverages.
If you’re a culinary snob and/or a certified Italophile, you may conclude that Ooze is commercial and inauthentic. You may, on the other hand, think that this is one of the best alternatives to the humble sandwich you’ve been offered all year.
You choose.
Ooze, 62 Goodge Street, W1T 4NE (020 7436 9444 or ooze.biz).
