There’s nothing like a good power breakfast to perk up the morning.
It’s having to choose the power suit and matching accessories at sparrow’s fart that gets you down.
Those in want of a laid-back breakfast spot should head to Tom’s Kitchen, opening today in Chelsea. The cosy nook, set up by Tom Aikens, occupies four floors of a former pub, just around the corner from his eponymous Michelin-starred restaurant.
Open for breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner, Tom’s serves seasonal home-grown produce from its open kitchen (with rotisserie and wood-smoked oven). For brekkie: eggs Benedict, full-on fry-ups, juicy blueberry pancakes and organic fruit smoothies. Lunch and dinner: staples like roast chicken, lamb, stews, casseroles and heart-warming puddings.
Tom’s has two private dining rooms; a cellar for cheese and wine tastings; and a games room with a huge plasma TV, backgammon and table football that remains open all day.
Talk about good-morning perks.
