Parlour Made
WC1 Powder Room Opens

London is certainly glamorous. The shops are stylish, the restaurants exemplary, the property second to none.
Now for the icing on the cake: a new multimillion pound public toilet.
WC1, which opens on Oxford Street next Monday (we’re telling you now so you’re first in the queue), is an all-female powder-cum-bathroom in which you can dress and freshen up while you’re on the go.
Inside you’ll find comfortable seating (for subservient friends to wait with shopping bags), well-lit mirrors, lounge music and large climate-controlled cubicles — complete with fluffy white towels, soap and hand cream — where you can change into work or evening clothes without traipsing all the way home.
Beauty products by the likes of Aromatherapy Associates and WC1’s own range of lotions and potions are sold in the adjoining powder room, and everything is fully sterilised after use. All of this for only £5 per visit, no prebooking required.
