You can stick to that vegetable-water diet. (And carry on farting like a demon.)
But wouldn’t you rather a fat plate of pasta?
You’ll have it at Raviolo, opening tomorrow in Balham. Serving lunch and dinner seven days a week, the pit stop offers Italian dishes, including — you guessed it — ravioli.
After antipasti of salami, prosciutto, crostini with smoked tomatoes or Parmesan broth with mini veal raviolo, you can expect a proper plate of (don’t say ‘bowl of’ — you’ll sound like a tourist) ravioli.
The homemade pillows come stuffed with salmon, butternut squash, Gorgonzola, or chicken and chestnuts, and are accompanied by various sauces or drizzled with olive oil. Pudding, meanwhile, comes in the form of tiramisu, panna cotta or cinnamon toast with berries and ricotta cream.
Sound like your kind of place?
We thought you’d probably want to get wind of it.
Raviolo, 1 Balham Station Road, SW12 9SG (020 8772 0433 or raviolo.co.uk).
