Want to taste real food? Get your a**e down to The Narrow, Gordon Ramsay’s new joint. Are you f***ing listening? It opens on Monday, and it’s set to be a laid-back (but equally f***ing brilliant) addition to the talented little f***er’s ever-growing empire.

Set in a Grade II-listed old dock master’s house with Thames views, it’s a wholly British establishment. You won’t have to reserve eight months in advance for a seat but the odd queue is inevitable; alternatively, book the private captain’s table.

Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, there’s substantial fare: monkfish and chips with marrow fat peas, braised Gloucester pig cheeks with bashed neeps, hearty puddings, and local ales.
