Stargraze

You eat sushi but without the fish. You don’t do cow’s milk. And you’d rather jump off a cliff than wear anything secondhand.

In other words, you’re what some might call a bit picky.

So you’ll probably like Suka, which opens in the Sanderson hotel today. Owned by Jeffrey Chodorow (of Asia de Cuba), with food created by Manhattan chef Zak Pelaccio (his NYC venues include 5 Ninth and Fatty Crab), the restaurant is dedicated to grazing, tapas style.

Designed by India Mahdavi, the woman behind New York’s Hotel on Rivington and the decadent Dragon-I in Hong Kong, the interior is simple, with an adjoining patio terrace.

The menu’s Malaysian with a Western twist: curried crab laksa, oyster omelette, oxtail soup with tomato chilli jam, Tamworth pig claypot, and roasted foie gras with red onion salad — all served in small, shareable portions.

Prepare to take your pick.
