When someone throws a tea party in Wonderland, they invite a Mad Hatter and a March Hare to spice things up.

In the real world, they call Mary Jane’s Mobile Millinery.

Run by professional milliner Mary Jane Baxter, the mobile hat making service will travel anywhere in the UK (or the world, if someone’s offering to foot the fare) with all the materials needed to create a unique headpiece.

Sessions last around three hours and cost from £55 per head (for six to fifteen participants); everyone gets to make a hat of their own to wear and keep. It’s an ideal form of entertainment for hen or birthday parties; simply gather up some friends, offer your own tea (read: cocktails) and cake, and set to work.

And by the time the party’s over, there’ll be more than one Mad Hatter at the table.
