Super Market
Whole Foods Market Opens

You’ve heard about it. Read about it. Dreamt about it.
At last: Whole Foods Market (America’s favourite natural superstore) opens its doors to the British public at 10 a.m. tomorrow. Having finagled exclusive access to the site, we’ll share some of the really thrilling bits with you.
There are more than 1,000 wines on offer. Cheese is sold direct from the ‘wheel’ in a cheese-ageing room. Upstairs (complete with DJ booth), cooked-in-front-of-you bars dole out sushi, oysters, grills and greens, and tapas, followed by crepes and ice cream.
Downstairs there are beauty products and treatment rooms, more than 300 types of fruit and veg, muesli- and nut butter-making stations — choose from Brazil nuts, almonds or peanuts and make your own spread with syrup, butter or chocolate sauce.
And at the end of it all, there are more cash tills than you’ve ever seen.
Which means the wait really is over — for good.
Whole Foods Market, The Barkers Building, 63-97 Kensington High Street, W8 5SE (020 7368 4500 or wholefoodsmarket.co.uk).
