Shoreditch House Opens

You’ve bagged Stella’s Oxfam tank. You’ve procured yourself some FitFlops. You’ve even applied to Courvoisier’s The Future 500.
But what are such achievements in the world of cool unless you’ve secured a membership to Shoreditch House?
Set over three floors in a vast brick warehouse, the latest super-space from Nick Jones officially opens today — and it’s his best yet.
In the Biscuit Tin are a large bar and several fat sofas; in the next door Biscuit Pin: two ten-pin bowling lanes. Upstairs you’ll find a Cowshed spa, unisex sauna and steam room, fully equipped gym, and games area for kidults.
The main restaurant serves salads, grills and wood-oven pizzas on long tables. The piece de resistance, however, has to be the rooftop swimming pool and bar overlooking London’s skyline.
Regrettably, Shoreditch House is open only to members; apply or cry (or, possibly, die).
Because when it comes to the cool stakes, this place just raised the bar.
Shoreditch House, Ebor Street, E1 6AW (020 7739 5040 or shoreditchhouse.com).
