With edible flowers (day lilies, nasturtiums), perennial vegetables, herbs (wild garlic, rocket) and fruit trees (juneberry, cherry plum), your backyard will look (and smell) idyllic. Even the knobbliest organic supermarket won’t offer the variety of wonders that you’ll be growing on your doorstep.

It’s all enviably original and beautifully thought out; and the upkeep’s a doddle.
