Flat Out
Creme de la Crepe Opens

Whatever happened to Crash Test Dummies? Arctic Roll? Counting Crows? Cindy? And where did the humble crepe go?
It was set on fire, teamed with Suzette, stuffed with cheese. Then gourmets moved on to posher things like Vienetta, and the pancake was relegated to oblivion.
Thankfully Creme de la Crepe has revived this most versatile of foodstuffs with a gourmet crepe stall on the fringe of Borough Market (on Fridays and Saturdays). Choose from sweet and savoury crepes like The Italian Job (goat cheese, pesto, tomato, rocket), Rumble in the Crumble (stewed apple, cinnamon crumble, double cream) or The Cheap Date (melted Mars bar, Baileys).
In addition, Creme de la Crepe has a catering service offering ‘crepettes’ with fillings like crispy Peking duck; haggis; banoffee pie; or marinated strawberries with mascarpone and mint.
Book them for any event in Central London and impress guests with your retro cool.
Sure, it sounds like a load of crepe. But this is one idea that won’t fall flat.
