Going Under

Charity Underwater Dinner

Breakfast at The Wolseley: tick. Lunch at Le Caprice: tick. Dinner at Nobu: tick.

How dull.

The chicest way to dine these days is underwater, in the exhilarating depths of a large swimming pool. Even cooler, everyone’s doing it for charity, rather than the possibility of being papped when leaving the eaterie. (And you thought they actually ate in there?)

This Saturday, 22 September, you’re invited to partake in an underwater repast to raise money for charities, including Breast Cancer Care and Save the Children. The meal costs £100 per head; pay for yourself or a group, or get friends to sponsor you.

Bring swimsuit/trunks to wear under Gharani Strok gowns or Moss Bros suits (loaned at the venue). You’ll eat gazpacho, salmon and toffee apples, and there’s a bar for post meal drinks. Don’t be wet; book now for a two-hour window, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If all of this seems a little confusing, don’t overthink it.

Just dive in.

Underwater Dinner, at The Park Club, East Acton Lane, W3 7HB. Book in advance on 020 8743 4321 or at underwaterdinner.co.uk.
