What with all those parties and work events (not to mention art shows and culture fests), you haven’t spent much time in the kitchen lately.
And now you can use and abuse someone else’s: Kensington Square Kitchen. The restaurant, which opens for breakfast, lunch and tea today, comes from head chef Sara Adams, formerly at the Notting Hill Cafe and the Divertimenti Cookery School and Cafe.
It’s all very wholesome. For breakfast, there’s granola, pancakes with yoghurt and fruit compote, or a full-on fry-up. For brunch/lunch, expect homemade salads, quiches and tarts, washed down with British wine or organic fruit juice. Teatime, meanwhile, promises homemade cakes, toasted crumpets, chocolate brownies, and scones with jam and clotted cream.
With an airy interior designed by The Treehouse (architects to watch), the place is calm and casual, and suits business meetings and family gatherings alike.
And you spent how much on that granite kitchen work surface with matching grill and oven combo?
