When is something worth every penny? When it lives up to its own hype.

Take, for example, M&S pitta bread (thick and squishy), a Daylesford croissant (stretchy yet flaky), or a pair of Anya Hindmarch shoes (perennially comfortable).

The recently opened Glow Urban Spa is another trusty source that does exactly what it says on the ‘tin’ (i.e., menu). A small haven of calm founded by charming therapist Philip Davies, it offers facials, massages, manis and pedis for men and women.

The La Prairie Caviar facial will work wonders on any complexion, as will the Dermalogica Custom Facial. Daniel Sandler makeovers are on offer, alongside waxing, tanning, acupuncture and reflexology. Prenatal treatments using Mama Mio potions are another specialty (the Yummy Tummy is great for deterring stretch marks).

Yes, it will cost you.

But it’ll be a pretty penny well spent.
