Sport a stylish cycling hat from Sawako Furuno. An ecoconscious commuter, the Japanese-born designer got so fed up with looking like a wally on wheels, she created her own collection of funky headwear for freewheelers, skateboarders and simple cyclists alike.

Hanabi comes in pink and beige, while the turquoise Sakura takes its inspiration from Japanese blossom. Each has a diamanté-trimmed chin strap. Bespoke colour combinations are available, and yes, Norman, they meet all safety requirements.

Furuno plans to extend her collection to include jackets and accessories, but for now the headwear provides ample excitement.

As any good head would.
