Buttered Up

Butter London Nail Polish

paint it red!

You’ve skydived in Africa and bungied in Australia. Yes, you’re hard as nails.

But are your nails as hard as you?

If they’re forever coated in harsh varnish, then probably not. Thankfully, today sees the launch of a more caring solution: Butter London, a range of nail polishes and products that are ‘3 Free’ (that’s without the usual cancer-causing formaldehyde, toluene and dibutyl phthalate), which means they’re kinder to you and the environment.

Originating from the States, Butter London comes from two ex-Londoners: Nonie Creme, a former session manicurist loved by magazine editors for her mixing of unusual shades; and Sasha Muir, a business brain who’s nailed the lacquer industry stateside.

Colours include Fash Pack (peculiar putty), Tea & Toast (deep tan), HRH (regal purple), Union Jack Black (evil and Medieval) and classic Pillar Box Red. Nourishing, herbal-based products include Horse Power, a ‘nail fertilizer’ to strengthen; Hardwear, to protect; and Melt Away, to remove hard cuticles.

All in all, it’s well ’ard.
