Andaz Liverpool Street Hotel Opens

Whether it’s a hot label or a new cocktail bar, you like to check things out.

Sometimes, however, you’d rather check in.

Do so at Andaz Liverpool Street, the boutique hotel opening today on the site of the former Great Eastern Hotel. Regular features are banished; there’s no check-in desk or concierge. Instead, guests are invited to experience a one-on-one relationship with staff or ‘Andaz Hosts’, who go by first name only.

At the ecoaware property, loos use less water, fuel use is reduced and fair trade goods are used where possible. Imaginative amenities include ready downloaded iPods and five restaurants: classic dining room Aurora, Terminus brasserie, sushi spot Miyabi, Fish Market & Champagne Bar, and George pub.

When you’re done, paying the bill is a breeze: minibar items, local calls, movies and breakfast are included in the room rate.

It’s certainly worth checking out.
