Gryphon Clothing

Everything’s better with coating (all hail Tunnocks Snowballs).
You included — especially when it’s a coat from Gryphon, the groovy new line from American Vogue writer-turned-designer Amy Cho. Already a hit stateside (Ms. Wintour is a fan), her wares have finally come to the UK.
Cho, who saw the potential whilst brainstorming a wardrobe essentials feature, has reworked the trench in numerous ways (banish any image you may have of the bland beige flasher’s mac now). Other shapes come in durable canvas, wool and felt, often detailed with matte gold and silver sequins, military and naval references or a touch of drummer boy.
They’re definitely a good investment.
Because at this time of year, it’s what’s on the outside that counts.
