Want to show your best friend you care?

Escort him to Doggy Santa Day at The Mutz Nutz (9, 16, 23 Dec., noon-5 p.m.); their Christmas hampers are the dog’s bollocks.

Or send him on a doggie date. He’ll need a Four Paw Pedicure and a slick outfit. Dress him in Growler Couture or a jet-set Aspen sweater. A charming collar from Holly&Lil should also impress. If the date goes well, send his beau an edible Christmas card. Dogside’s glow-in-the-dark lead will also delight.

While he’s gone, get further inspiration at Harrods’s Pet à Porter dog walk show (29 Nov., 8:30 p.m.; to book call 0870 732 1234) and bring him back a proper doggy bag.

After that, he’ll be pooped. Treat him to a bath with Max & Milly’s grooming aids, a spritz of Mungo & Maud’s pooch perfume and a post-pamper dinner from AllDog — best eaten at a Wowbow table. Then put him to bed with a good book: Sophie Gordon’s Noble Hounds and Dear Companions will enthrall.

He’ll be asleep before you know it.
