You always fancied yourself a joy-riding teenage rebel.

Sadly — between that itchy school uniform and your overprotective parents — you never got around to really living it up.

It’s not too late. Get ready for the ride of your life at The Hoxton Pony, which opens in Shoreditch tomorrow. It’s no one-trick pony.

The all-day bar and restaurant offers more than 200 spirits and a seasonal menu of fresh syrups, compotes and purees with which to mix them. Grub on fish and chips, bangers and mash, pickled crayfish or pig’s head terrine. More of a grazer? Pies and mash are always on offer, while DJs and live acts entertain.

The place serves tap water (rather than ecocostly bottled stuff); while waterless urinals in the men’s room save gallons a year.
