Make your way to Goodman, opening in Mayfair today, and you’ll be sure to avoid them. The London outpost of this renowned Russian chain is a classic New York-style steakhouse where succulent prime cuts of beef are hung in the on-site drying room to mature before being seared over a charcoal grill to lock in the flavour.

If steak ain’t your thing, other options include braised beef cheek, Anglaise chicken with lemon and thyme, or salmon carpaccio with tomato seeds and passion fruit. Try luscious chocolate cake for afters.
