Not vintage: Kate Moss’s Topshop collection, Audrey Hepburn DVD box set, leftover wine from last year. Vintage: absolutely anything owned by Coco Chanel, an original Roman Holiday movie poster, a 1982 Bordeaux.
Confused?
Find the real deal at Atelier-Mayer, a new vintage concept website founded by fashionable females Carmen Haid and Alice Kodell and inspired by the late Klaudia Mayer (a 1920s haute couture tailor and Haid’s grandmother).
You’ll find wearable 20th- and early 21st-century fashion from Hermès, Balenciaga, Halston, Yves Saint Laurent and more. A virtual dressing room with styling options helps you create a personalised wardrobe, or keep up to date with video interviews with industry personalities and vintage fashion footage.
The site launched yesterday. Some will say it’s old news.
But we consider it vintage.
