No need to feel deflated: designer Toby Sanders has a bright idea to help you get through it. His new collection of colourful beach ball lamps will cheer you up.

The hanging light fixtures — available in two sizes — are made using his own rigidifying process, which means that though the inside is a hard shell, the exterior is made from an authentic beach ball, complete with that little plastic blowhole.

So weather be damned, you can spend the summer reminiscing about carefree days spent playing in the sand. And when winter rolls around you won’t even notice.
