Take a trip to Retrouvius — a new reclamation and design store — and find out. The new shop is an extension of the existing warehouse and sells everything from secondhand furniture and homewares (mirrors, seating, ceramics) to architectural salvage (panelling, fireplaces, columns) and reusable materials (marble, flooring, wood).

Stock depends on what’s been recently rescued, but be assured that everything is in good condition (note the reclaimed sea wall timber that ended up around the Shoreditch House pool). Prices are decent, making it easier to be kind to the environment.

And demonstrate a smidge of saviour behavior.
