Sir Terence Conran opens his latest venture today (following Boundary and Albion) on Fleet Street — the former home of the British Press.
Situated in the old Reuters news office and named after the building’s original architect, Lutyens is a chic, art deco-inspired bar (with pieces from Conran’s private art collection on its walls), restaurant (including a small sushi and crustacea station) and private members’ bar.
The menu from David Burke (Bibendum, Le Pont de la Tour) fuses classic French cuisine with an Irish twist, so expect dishes like chicken liver parfait and Dover sole; roasted rabbit, bacon and mustard; or a simple plate of charcuterie.
It’s bound to make headlines.
