Freggo Ice Cream Bar Opens

Sultry tango moves, sizzling steaks, polo players in tight white jeans: almost everything that comes out of Argentina is hot.

Except Freggo, a new and seriously cool Argentine ice cream bar from the team behind Gaucho restaurants. The cold stuff comes in flavours like dulce de leche with chocolate chips or malbec and berries and is served alongside pastries like empanadas medialunas (savoury croissants), alfajores (sugar-coated cookies filled with jam) and toasted sandwiches.

Freggo looks and feels like a cocktail bar — minus the alcohol — so perch on a stool or relax in a booth and sip on smoothies, frappes, coffees or authentic Argentine mate.

Opening today, the West End spot serves until 2 a.m.

So don’t cry for us.
