You might be an expert on unusual jams, but you could probably learn a thing (or eight) from Mrs Leyel’s Jam Cupboard.

The new range gives classic homemade preserves a contemporary twist with seasonal flavours such as raspberry with black pepper and balsamic vinegar; rhubarb, lemon and ginger; and black cherry with brandy compote. Tangy fruit chutneys and marmalades are also available. Opt for rhubarb and strawberry, lime or a slightly spicy apple, date and chilli.

They’re totally unexpected and a little bit sticky.
