Love it or hate it, black liquorice is another matter of personal taste. But Henry Goode’s Moorish and affordable locally made sweets are milder than other brands, with a texture similar to marshmallow.

The retro treats come in big authentic brown paper bags or smaller impulse sizes. But there’s no reason to feel guilty about indulging — they contain less than 2 per cent fat, include only natural colour and flavours, have no added salt and are even Halal approved.

If you’re not a liquorice fan, you probably won’t appreciate all this info.

But at least we’re not oversharing.
