Small Wonders

les petites boutique!

French fries aren’t French. Butterflies are not made of butter. The 100-year war actually lasted 116 years.

Clearly Shakespeare was on to something when he asked, “What’s in a name?”

Take Les Petites, the Parisian boutique that opened recently in Notting Hill. There is nothing petite about it. The understated clothing collection is both urban and feminine, and each piece is injected with a touch of French chic.

Classic cashmere separates, bright day dresses, sequined and silk evening tops, tailored jackets and accompanying accessories are all arranged by colour, resulting in a wardrobe of basics you’ll want to make your own.

As for what’s in this name, it refers to founder Isabelle Bénichou’s placement as the youngest in her family.

And most likely, this one will be huge.
