It’s the same old song and dance when it comes to working out. Start big. End with a fizzle.
Shuffle step it up with Taprobics.
Taught by dancer Hillary Ayn Ryan, the fun, hour-long class combines basic tap moves with an old-school cardio workout. Start with a quick warm-up then move on to easy-to-follow combinations set to pop tunes, followed by toning, abs, and a cooldown. Kick ball change your way to stronger feet and leg muscles, not to mention a sharper brain (you have to concentrate to hear your steps).
Try out the first class in sneakers or borrow a spare pair of tap shoes from Ryan before buying your own (she’ll tell you where to score a pair for ten bucks). If you fancy yourself more of a Broadway-style hoofer, Ryan also teaches regular tap dancing.
What are you waiting for?
Tap that ass.

This would be an awesome article in the San Francisco edition IF it actually pertained to San Francisco...she's LA based!
