Guerilla Burgers Restaurant Opens

In the ongoing war between fat-and-happy you and gym-going, carb-phobic, miserable you, there is always a loser.

We say surrender to the junk food at Guerilla Burgers. The atmosphere is lively (loud ’60s rock), and the walls are covered in peacemaking slogans (‘power to the patty’ and ‘buns not guns’).

The menu brims with beef, turkey and chicken burgers served with everything from cheese and green chili to avocado and coleslaw. Fries are regular, sweet potato or smothered in veggie chili and cheese. Dips like Bloody Mary ketchup make an interesting change. If you insist on counting calories (wimp), go for the topless (bunless) option.

Dessert (sundaes with smashed cookies and a two-hour baked cheesecake), however, is bound to stir up a whole new conflict.

Don’t fight it.
