The Shape of Things to Come

Calm nervous jitters with a relaxing body treatment at the recently opened Aman Spa (The Connaught, Carlos Place, W1K 2AL; 020 7499 7070), where therapists practice daily meditations so they’re tranquil even in the face of prewedding freak-outs.

Enjoy Your Own Wedding
Hire the Artfull Splodgers’s mobile creche to look after the kids while you dance to the modern (read: cheeseless) sounds of the Wedding Smashers (playlists include everything from Ministry of Sound anthems to old-school garage tracks). And if you still think the magic is missing, hire Peter Mehtab (07831 612999) to perform mind-boggling tricks. His optical illusions have baffled even The Queen.
