When mining for clothes, it’s the lucky few who find gold in a dusty secondhand shop. The rest of us — who need help deciphering the jewels from the junk — should head to One Two Five Presents, the new retail space from online boutique Vintage Academe.

From haute couture Chanel to ’90s Comme des Garçons, the collection brings together finds from vintage dealers all over the world. Fall in lust with the carefully curated racks of showstopping party dresses (’90s Herve Leger, £185), pristine jackets (diamond-encrusted Thierry Mugler, £700) and accessories (YSL oversize rosary beads, £300).

Artful displays, bespoke floral arrangements and a Retrouvius reclaimed table littered with style and architecture books make the space more gallery than thrift shop, and a sunny front garden provides a quiet place to hang out and contemplate purchases.

The shop also shares a floor with Lot 78, in case you’re in the market for a butter-soft, hand-worn leather jacket to throw over that ’70s Halston. All in all, a total score.
