Our ideal office would have lunchtime yoga, weekly chair massages and child care for every employee (in other words: humane resources).

But we’ll take one out of three at Third Door, a new flexible office space in Wandsworth with an on-site creche.

The bright, cheery space welcomes babies, toddlers, preschoolers and the harried people they call parents. Just drop littles with carefully vetted sitters in the sunny, toy-filled playroom (amazingly, it’s included in the price), then head upstairs to e-mail, PowerPoint or surf Facebook to your heart’s content. Check on them as much — or as little — as you like, and return for lunch at the cosy time-out space’s communal table.

Desks are available by the hour (£18) in the open-plan office — which has internet access and printers, of course — or in private rooms (£23). For top-secret calls, cloister yourself in the bright green phone booth like a superhero. Or, you know, a working mom.
