From manicures to new shoes, even when the going gets tough there are some luxuries we just don’t want to give up.
Thankfully, Michelin-starred chefs Anthony Demetre and Will Smith (Arbutus, Wild Honey) have just added another, Les Deux Salons. This time around, the chefs opted for brasserie style, serving affordable dishes such as snail and bacon pie, saddle of rabbit with pumpkin gnocchi, and potato and curly kale soup. There’s also a wide salad selection for light lunches and classic French desserts, including pain perdu with apples or vanilla crème brulee.
Designed by Martin Brudnizki (Dean Street Townhouse, Club at the Ivy) and cushioned in the heart of theatreland, the two-floor restaurant has antique mirrors, mosaic floors and simple wooden tables and banquettes. It’s the kind of place you’ll want to frequent, and with an average spend of £18.50 per head, that won’t be a problem.
