Learn to Cook at Home with School of Food

Let a Pro Teach You to Make a Decent Meal

cookery school knife skills!

On the menu tonight (and last night): jacket potato with grated cheese followed by microwavable chocolate cake and fresh fruit — from a tin.

Expand your culinary repertoire with help from School of Food founder Alastair Instone, who provides lessons in the comfort of your kitchen.

Learn chopping and slicing basics in a knife skills class or the proper way to prepare dough and pair sauces during a pasta-making tutorial. Too simple? Master inside-out and hand rolls during a sushi session or crazy cooking methods like poaching fish in the dishwasher (yes, really).

Don’t fret a small space. Instone once worked as a private chef on a yacht, so he’s used to cramped kitchens. He’ll teach two to four people or up to twenty if you book a cookery party. Though truly helpless cases can request one-on-one time.

For more information, go to cookeryschool.com, £45-£100 per person.
