One ticket to the antique gun show, please. It’s sold out? We’ll just have to get our fix of 19th-century firearms elsewhere.
Maybe it’s time to sling on some baubles by Lydia Marcos Designs. The new L.A.-based jewelry line takes inspiration from the decorative wood inlays found on heirloom pistols and knives.
A collaboration between former Chrome Hearts alumn Mark Kahnamouei and fashion designer Stephanie Betro, LMD approaches design with a masculine, rough-hewn aesthetic that’s more Tombstone than Tiffany’s. Pairing semiprecious metals like copper and brass with exotic and reclaimed wood such as ebony, buckeye, and burled maple, it shoots from the hip with statement-making hardware that won’t break the bank.
The collection of bracelets, rings, and necklaces is crafted locally using time-honored metalsmithing techniques.
When dressing to impress, it’s our weapon of choice.
